Rotating and non-rotating fire hose

What are the elements that make up an RIA?

An RIA consists in particular of the following elements:
Un reel, a tap diffuser, shut-off valve, lance. Other optional elements can be added: a bucket, bucket holder or a tricoise key (fireman key).

  • DN19 armed fire valve. They are located in premises with current risks.
  • DN25 armed fire valve. They are generally located in premises at particular risk.
  • DN33 armed fire valve.

The role of the armed fire valve is to make it possible, in the event of a fire outbreak, to carry out an initial intervention while waiting for more powerful means to be implemented. These fire valves are said to be armed because they are continuously supplied with water and therefore ready for use.

The commissioning process is carried out in 4 simple and quick steps:

Open the valve
Unroll the hose (just what is needed)
Make an "S" on the ground with the pipe to plan maneuvers
Attack the fire
